About JSON Diff

Compare two valid JSON payloads and locate structural or value differences with readable paths.

Difference types

  • Added values exist only in Payload B.
  • Removed values exist only in Payload A.
  • Changed values keep the same JSON type but contain different data.
  • Type changes show when a value changes between string, number, boolean, null, object or array.

Views and paths

Flat view lists each difference directly. Structured view groups differences in an expandable hierarchy. Object property order is ignored because properties are matched by key; arrays are compared by index, so inserting an item can produce multiple later differences.

How to use it

  1. Paste the original JSON in Payload A and the comparison JSON in Payload B.
  2. Select Compare.
  3. Use the summary and Flat or Structured view to review each path.

Privacy

Both payloads are parsed and compared locally in your browser. They are not uploaded for processing.
